WELCOME TO VAHAN TEKEYAN SCHOOL
Established in 1951 in Beirut, Vahan Tekeyan School was founded under the patronage of the Tekeyan Cultural Association to meet the educational needs of the Armenian community in Bourj Hammoud. Named after the esteemed Armenian poet Vahan Tekeyan, the school began with kindergarten and elementary classes.
As enrollment grew, the school expanded into a purpose-built, three-story facility inaugurated in 1965—made possible by generous community support and a major contribution from benefactor Mr. Hagop Barsamian. Over the years, the school added intermediate and secondary levels, reflecting its commitment to growth and academic excellence.
For nearly 75 years, Vahan Tekeyan School has proudly educated generations of Lebanese-Armenians, many of whom have gone on to serve their communities globally. Its success is the result of visionary leadership, dedicated staff, and the unwavering support of its parents, alumni, and the Tekeyan Cultural Association.
Named after the 'Prince of Armenian Poetry' and great patriot Vahan Tekeyan, our school offers kindergarten, elementary, and intermediate classes. We are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence, personal growth, and global citizenship.
