For nearly 75 years, Vahan Tekeyan School has stood as a beacon of education and cultural identity, thanks to the dedication of its principals, teachers, and community. Since October 2021, under the leadership of Principal Mrs. Sevana Semerdjian-Darakjian, the school has overcome some of the most difficult years in its history.

The economic collapse in Lebanon, the global COVID-19 pandemic, and the instability during the 2023–2024 academic year presented serious challenges. Yet, our principal and staff remained unwavering in their mission to support the academic and emotional well-being of our students. Their commitment ensured that learning continued, safely and effectively.

This would not have been possible without the unwavering generosity of our main benefactors, Mr. and Mrs. Sam and Sylva Simonian, along with many other donors who believed in our school’s mission. Their support allowed us to adopt a “zero-tuition” policy, relieving many families during times of financial hardship, while also sustaining our valued teachers and staff.

Today, the school is thriving with renewed energy, new programs, and a strong vision for the future. On behalf of the School Board, I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Tekeyan Cultural Association Board of Trustees, our donors, and the entire school community for their ongoing support and trust.

As we move forward, we carry with us the spirit of our namesake, Vahan Tekeyan, whose timeless words guide our path:
